Network status

This page is the single canonical source for the state of the BATHRON network. Other pages and repositories link here instead of restating it.

Last updated: 7 October 2026.

The DMM public testnet was shut down on 5 October 2026. A new network using consensus engine N is under construction. No launch date has been announced.

Progress

Each entry records a step that has been completed and reviewed; it is not a schedule.

  • 7 October 2026 — The first qualification step for engine N was completed: the consensus core and its observer running in "shadow" mode (observing without making decisions) were qualified on one machine using independent reference implementations, followed by a six-hour rehearsal with no divergence. No N network is running yet.
  • 7 October 2026 — A mini-network step was completed and reviewed: post-quantum signatures ML-DSA-44 (FIPS 204) were integrated into the N codebase under development and qualified against official test vectors and a second implementation of independent origin (10,240 differential cases, zero disagreements). No N network is running yet.

Release packages, seed addresses and genesis hashes published for the DMM public testnet refer to that network only and are kept as historical references.
